Custom ‘Future Piano’

Modification

System that allows client to play his two electronic keyboards at the same time as his regular beloved piano, in addition to having eye level access to his laptop for reading music and recording and editing sounds on the fly. The system couldn’t use any destructive fixings or adhesives to avoid damaging the piano and its lacquered finish and instead relies on precise friction fits and joints that allowed the additional new parts to be suspended and held in place by the piano’s existing structure.

Constructed from English elm, finished with black stain and wax
